Organic cotton has the advantage of being produced in a land free of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and defoliants; being different from conventional cotton.
The organic standards do not allow the use of GMOS. Peru has a ban for GMO seeds, which reduces the risk of contamination that exists in other cotton producing countries.
Furthermore, the fact that our cotton is handpicked is a benefit, as it reduces the environmental impact and improves the quality of the product.
Peruvian Pima cotton is prized all over the world for its exceptional softness and brilliant luster. It´s the world’s finest Pima because of the ideal growing conditions it has in the northern coastal valleys where the soil soaks up just the right amount of moisture at the near perfect equatorial temperature making it softer and more absorbent than other cottons. Another important distinction Pima cotton has is that it has to be harvested by hand which results in a bright white shade that no other cotton has.
